Open Doors at ABAM

At the Academy, we believe that meaningful musical experiences should be accessible to as many people as possible.

Our long-term goal is to make attendance at ABAM’s regular Musical Gatherings free and open to the community, supported by charitable contributions and community partners.

At this stage, admission fees remain an important part of sustaining ABAM’s programming. Ticket and attendance revenue helps us cover the costs of presenting Musical Gatherings while we build the charitable support needed to expand free community access.

As donations and sponsorship support grow, we hope to reduce—and ultimately remove—admission fees for regular ABAM Musical Gatherings.

Every contribution brings us closer to that goal.

Donations help support the costs of Piano Labs, master classes, educational presentations, performances, guest artists, and other Musical Gatherings while allowing ABAM to gradually reduce its dependence on audience admission revenue.

Our aim is simple: to build a sustainable model in which excellent musical and educational experiences can eventually be offered to the community without an admission barrier.

Until charitable support is sufficient to make that possible responsibly, ABAM will continue to charge admission for certain events and audience participation.
