AB Academy of Music celebrates the work of our students, performers, teachers, and guest artists by sharing moments from Academy events with our broader community.

Performances, Piano Labs, master classes, workshops, concerts, and other ABAM activities may be photographed or recorded. From time to time, ABAM may share photographs and short audio or video excerpts on our website, social media platforms, digital communications, and other educational or promotional materials.

Our goal is to offer a glimpse into the musical life of the Academy while celebrating the learning, artistry, and community that make ABAM events special.

Participants provide permission for photography and recording as part of the registration process. The complete Recording and Media Release is included in the ABAM registration form.  You may also view, download, print out the Media policies here.

Regular attendance is strongly encouraged. Much of the value of the AB Academy of Music experience comes from being physically present—performing, listening, observing, and spending time with fellow participants, teachers, and artists. This shared time and space is an important part of what makes the program distinctive and especially valuable for developing pianists.

We understand that participants have busy schedules and that occasional conflicts may arise, particularly for students in the Rising Stars program. Please attend as many events as your schedule allows and let us know when you are unable to be present.

Participants enrolled in a full program option, rather than a Flex option, should understand that missed events cannot be made up, rescheduled, credited, or recreated at another time. Each Academy event is a shared experience involving a particular group of participants, teachers, performers, and repertoire, and we are not able to reproduce that experience for individual scheduling conflicts.

If you have signed up to perform or participate in a master class and need to cancel, please notify ABAM staff as soon as possible. Your participation affects the scheduling and flow of the program, and advance notice allows us to make any necessary adjustments.

If you need to arrive after an event has begun or leave before it has ended, you are welcome to do so when necessary. We simply ask that you enter and leave as quietly and unobtrusively as possible, with consideration for those who are performing, teaching, and listening.
