The A.B. Academy is committed to providing high-quality music education while maintaining a clear and consistent tuition and payment policy for all students and families.
Tuition may be paid according to one of the following options:
Semester Tuition: Tuition may be paid separately for the Fall Semester and Spring Semester.
Academic Year Tuition: Students may pay the full tuition for the academic year in advance. A $50 discount will be applied to the total annual tuition.
The academic year consists of two semesters, Fall and Spring (4 meetings and 1 recital each semester). Specific dates and tuition amounts are established annually by the Academy.
All tuition payments, registration fees, and other fees paid to the Academy are non-refundable.
Once a student has been enrolled and a payment has been made, the Academy is not obligated to provide a refund due to withdrawal, missed lessons, changes in personal circumstances, scheduling conflicts, or discontinuation of studies.
The Academy strongly encourages families to consider their schedules and commitments before registering for a program.
In exceptional circumstances involving a genuine emergency or other serious situation beyond the student’s reasonable control, the Academy may, at its sole discretion, approve a tuition credit.
If approved, the amount paid may be applied toward tuition for a future semester or academic year. The credit:
Is not redeemable for cash;
Is not transferable to another person unless specifically approved by the Academy;
Must be used within the period specified by the Academy;
Does not constitute a refund of tuition or fees.
Requests for an emergency tuition credit should be submitted to the Academy as soon as reasonably possible and may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The Academy currently accepts the following payment methods:
Personal or Cashier’s Checks
Zelle
Venmo
When making an electronic payment, families should include the student’s full name and, when applicable, the purpose of the payment (e.g., tuition, registration fee, recital fee).
The Academy may introduce additional payment methods in the future at its discretion.
Tuition payments must be received by the deadline established by the Academy for the applicable semester or academic year.
For semester and annual tuition payments, the Academy will provide the applicable payment schedule and due dates prior to the beginning of the instructional period.
Fall semester payment Deadline is September 15, 2026
Spring Semester payment Deadline is January 15, 2027
Failure to make payment by the applicable deadline may result in a late fee, suspension of lessons, or cancellation of enrollment.
Students must maintain their accounts in good standing throughout their enrollment.
If an account has an outstanding balance, the Academy may suspend lessons, participation in Academy programs and events, recital participation, or other services until the balance has been paid or an alternative arrangement has been approved by the Academy.
Tuition is based on enrollment in the Academy's instructional program and is not reduced or refunded because of student absences or missed lessons.
Students or parents/guardians who wish to discontinue lessons must notify the Academy in writing.
Withdrawal from the Academy does not entitle the student or family to a refund of tuition or other fees already paid. Any outstanding balance incurred prior to withdrawal remains the responsibility of the student or parent/guardian.
The Academy reserves the right to establish or modify tuition rates, fees, payment deadlines, discounts, and payment policies from time to time. Families will be notified of any significant changes applicable to a new semester or academic year.
Registration for Academy programs constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of this Tuition Policy by the student and, when applicable, the student’s parent or legal guardian. By enrolling in the Academy, families agree to comply with the Academy’s tuition requirements, payment deadlines, and policies regarding refunds, credits, withdrawals, and missed lessons.
